Mayor Chris Beutler will be holding a press conference at the International Quilt Study Center, 33rd and Holdrege, to announce the next steps in the use of Lincoln's $2.4 million federal energy efficiency stimulus grant. Mayor Beutler will be discussing his priorities and his plan for public input. We invite all to attend this press conference in this highly energy efficient, LEED-certified, beautiful new building on the UNL campus.

The Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Commission will hold a special public hearing on proposed amendments to the “Community Vision” chapter of the comprehensive plan, to include the general topic of "sustainability" as a focus of future planning and growth. The hearing is in the City-Council Hearing Room, County-City Building, 555 S. 10th Street. We encourage all interested parties to attend the hearing and let the commission know your opinion.
